...A large factor is the total number of photos. Photo scanning, then digital manipulation/compositing and music syncopation is very time consuming. Your home video editing component still requires time and care, but the editing is less time consuming. For a rough example, to produce a 1/2 hour music video with roughly 275 photos included, I'd ask for around 900 dollars. That same 900 dollars could get you an hour long "family film" if there is a fair amount of video/home movies to work with...Many, many variables! But there's an idea of cost.
